Quicken Loans just stole $500 from us and $500 from my daughter. We each gave a "Good Faith Deposit" of $500 each "to be deducted from the closing fee". BULL___#. They then turn you down and claim the $500 paid for the appraisal and the credit check. NONSENSE, NOT AS CONTRACTED. Will file complaints with BBB, FTC, and dispute charges on credit card. So far credit card has given me a partial refund. If they don't reverse the balance of the charges, I will cancel my American Express card. And will go to small claims court (no lawyer needed) for the balance. It'll cost them more than $500.00 to send a lawyer to fight you. So everyone who was scammed, please follow these steps.

They add additional closing costs, not discussed. They try to collect your credit card balance and add it to the loan. I have zero finance charge, so why would I pay Quicken Loans this balance. They try to collect taxes, already paid, to you loan amount.

On my daugther's loan, they tried to add 12,000 closing fees and $20,000 (twenty thousand) to pay down her existing mortgage....why would she give it to quicken loans and not her current mortgage company.

Their appraisal companies are yet another joke full of inaccuracies, not to mention being billed for a credit check.

I don't care if they know who I am complaining as I plan to pursue this. BBB & Forbes should think twice about endorsing this company. I now, have no faith in those companies as well.

On the wings of WorldCom, Enron, Bernie Madoff, etc., they should cease and desist from scamming the general public, especially in this economy. A class action suit is needed....sign 2 of us up.

This response is very tired, since you obviously (Kelly) work for a company that does not make expenditures and fees clear or upfront. Yes, it is clear that you work for the Quicken beaurocracy and have little concern or compassion for the people that your company of hire sucker punches. Check the posts to see response that are similar to this canned non-response. $500 for nothing! Quicken Loans is big and even though they know that we are despirate and use that depiration to push us deeper in debt. Whatever their rationality this behavior is reprehensible. They are pigs acting like business people - only worse than pigs since
they throw their filth onto the American people they claim they serve.

Hi - thanks for posting.

Contrary to what you stated, we do process our loans as contracted. The application you signed is a contract and fully explains our deposit policy, which you authorized if we took your deposit. You can also find it on our website: https://www.quickenloans.com/about/quicken-loans-deposit

We refund in the case of a denial, minus the costs we incurred. I'm sorry you don't approve of the appraisal or credit check, but those are 2 very vital components to approving a loan.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to get in touch with me directly: Kelly@QuickenLoans.com

Thanks!
