Agreed to sign up and pay for artist to be featured in a compilation cd produced by Quickstar Productions.  $2500.00 fee included feature of one recorded song and 50 copies of compilations cd's.  Was told that the project would begin July 2009 and finished product in Sept. or Oct. 2009. Received an update on Sept. 2, 2009 stating, "the project, it is still in graphics and will be moving oon toe pressing after that."  Received another update on Oct. 9, 2009 stating, "Teh cd is still in pressing and when we receive it back we will let you know the release date.  Pressing is one of the longest steps in teh process and can take anywhere from one to two months to complete."  Got the exact same update again on Oct. 22, 2009.  Nov. 15, 2009 I received the following update stating, "At this time it is still in pressing and when it gets closer to be finished we will let you know."  On Jan, 20, 2010 I received yet another update.  This time stating the cd's would be going to pressing by the end of the month, "The cd will be going to pressing and then we will be sending the cds to you."  This completely contradicts the earlier updates stating the cd was already in pressing as early as Oct. 9, 2009 as stated in the earlier email I referenced.  On Feb. 18, 2009, I received another update stating, "Thanks for getting in touch with us, we are sorry for the confusion that update must have been a mixup but the cd is going into pressing in the next few weeks".  Originally it was stated that the project was in pressing in Oct. 2009.  Then I was told it would be going to pressing sometime after Feb. 2010.  This company has not returned any further inquires or phone calls regarding this complaint.

They have 22 unresolved complaints filed with the BBB.  Responding to the BBB, Quickstar productions claims, "We made a lot of changes.  The first thing we did was eliminate all owners pay.  We have cut staff and moved other to a commission only basis."  They claim they have cut staff but only list employees as "1".  Hard to cut staff if you are the only one.  They also state, "If worse comes to worse our exit plan is to sell the office building we are currently in and use those profits to release all of the back CD's."  How can you sell an office building you don't own?  The business address Quickstar uses is a residential building.  Nothing but lies from this company.  Stay far away!
