QUIN-CO INC/ ACE METAL BUILDINGS Steve Quinnelly / Jason Quinnelly Steve Quinnelly, built a metal building for me the workmanship is very poor, building is not square, not level and not plumb, rafters are missing bolts,of squire Whistler, Alabama 36612
I am a retire and disabled man and in my opinion I have been taken advataged of by Quin-co/Ace Metal Building. The owner's name is Steve Quinnelly and the General Manager of day to dayoperations is Jason Quinnelly, his son. By the way neitherone of these guys has taken the state board of licensed general contractors test. The only way they got there license is that it was passed down by theoriginal owner Harold Quinnelly, who is a good man. I'm sure Mr. Harold would be disappointed inhow the company has turned out. Anyway I contracted with Quin-co/Ace Metal Building to do a building for me and it has been a nightmare.
Problem #1 Quin-co/Ace Metal Building told me to go pull the permit. I should have known right there it was gonna be trouble. Never Pull Your own Permit!!!! If a customer is hiringa so called General Contractor Like Quin-co/Ace Metal Building then why am I asked to pull the permit, I;ll tell you why, because Quin-co/Ace Metal Building would not be responsible for any problems on the jobsite. I/Me the customer is responsible, Quin-co/Ace Metal Building walks away not being responsible for nothing.
Problem #2Quin-co/Ace Metal Building say they don't use subcontractors but they do. I had to pay for the concret direct and their sub direct. At this pointand time I thought who cares as long as as it gets done and done right. Their lies the problem, the slab is short and out of square. What does Quin-co/Ace Metal Buildings do? They just drilled red head anchor bolts in without even telling me or consulting with the engineer of record. This is just one of many problems I have, but I was told continuously we gonna fix it and everything is gonna be alright. Ha!
Problem #3 more problems are occuring, As the Building is going up I noticed that my roof was leaking. That was because Quin-co/Ace Metal Building put so many holes in the roof that the majority of the roof had to be replaced. I also had another contractor look at the roof and he said that my roof was rusting because Quin-co/Ace Metal Building didn't sweep off my roof. Quin-co/Ace Metal Building did not use tape seal on my roof as desnated by the print.
Problem #4 The second floor : I bought a second floor that was supposed to be engineered so that I could live on it.. Needless to say the second floor is scary. It has a two to three inch bounce to it. It literally feels like I'm walking on a wrestling ring. This floor system was drilled down with 6 inch red head anchor bolts. How am I gonna finish my building? I'm not, because the engineering on this second floor is being looked at by the state board of engineers.I am making sure that they also look at the engineering of the building as well because I was told the beams that Quin=co/Ace Metal Building is under sized and in failure. The roof purlins are on 5'-0" centers which every other building I have seen to compare mine is on 4' 0" centers. S of the roof purlins are not installed correctly and are bowed.
Enclosing, there are many more problems with my building. I just wanted to make sure that people start holding Quin-co/AceMetal Building accountable.Start reporting them here at RIPOFFREPOT.COM, Make a complaint with BBB. Call the Board of License General Contractors hold Quin-co/Ace metal building accountable. Donot let this happen to you.'

The day of March 18,2015. I retract the defamatory statement on Quin-Co and Ace Metal Building and Steve Quinnelly and Jason Quinnelly.
How ever I can not retract the Alamba State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. They have already inspected my building and are progressing on.
