Complaint Review: Quip Toothbrush

Quip Toothbrush, GetQuip Continue charging my credit card and shipping products after I canceled two times. They deny any change by me and refuse to refund my money. Brooklyn New York

This is the second time this company has pulled this on me.  I go to their website, remove the nefarious "Auto Ship" option and cancel my subscription so I can simply order what I need when I need it.  Then..months later...I get an email stating "Your order has been shipped".

I now have to log back into their site, and cancel the "Auto Ship" that they reactivated on their own without my permission, delete the payment information and write them for a refund.  Conveniently for them, they say "We can't refund you because you canceled after it was already shipped".  This is an unscrupulous way to sell things and bill people's credit cards on record for things they never ordered.  This is the second time they have pulled this on me. When I told them I intended to file a complaint, they got nasty and deactivated my account.

The fact that I had to do this multiple times, which they now deny "any record of" my canceling before, tells me this company is not honest and that they can't be trusted with a credit card on file or to honor the wishes of their customers.  They refuse to refund the money they theived from me until I return their product that I never asked for, and then tell me some cockamamie story about it will take several days to process and 5-10 additional "business" days to show up on my statement.  

This is internet fraud; plain and simple.  My next complaint will be with the State Attorney General in New York, as well as my state of Arizona.  Perhaps it's also time to call my Senator and ask what we can do to stop these kinds of scammers from using the "Auto Ship" lure to rip off customers around the world.
