In Feb. 2002 qxt telecom phone card services company solicited me on my cell phone after regular working hours and offered me a free 30 day phone card.

They took my personal and credit card info and said they would send a card which never showed up at my address.

For months I noticed on my bank statement the billing from the QXT (quext telecom)which matched my regular home phone billing which also QXT (Quest telephone sevices). I never recieved a card to use or activate in order to use the free minutes as they offered.

Unfortunately when I finally caught it by paying for an account history, I found that it wasn't my home phone service. Rather it was qxt who had been billing me two times a month totaling $59.78 for six months with a grand total of $418.46.

At which I called them August of 2002 and they openly ommitted that it had never been used or activated. So I cancelled the card and was returned $59.78 for that month (only because I found them out)and that still left $358.68 that they owed me(not counting $300+ of overcharges on my bank account).

I was then instructed to write a formal letter and send it to their business, which I did. Now I've waited until April 2003 having never received a letter in denile or a check for re-embersement.

So I called and found that they have changed their name to WQ long distance with the same address and telphone number. They refuse to give an actual street address and are now argueing that they don't have to pay me the money because I agreed to the service verbally. I only agreeded to the free card for 30 days trial, not for them to take any money from me for services never activated much less never rendered or delivered. Now I will have to pursue court proceedings and costs.
