R and B car company Covered up broken mechanical parts on a truck they sold me. Columbia city,Warsaw,south bend Indiana
Bought a 2017 ford truck with a 100,000 mi on it from Columbia city Indiana R and B car company. Sent them pics and info of my truck to trade in on it. They offered me $24,000 for my truck for trade in. Drove 3 hours there the next day with my truck and money for the balance. Test drove their truck, looked it over, checked out good as it was a 2017.
They then only offered me 18k for my truck now and rose the price on the truck they were selling. I refused went back to,work 3 hours away. Ended up selling my truck the next day for $24k, called Rand B back up, to see if truck,wa still available for the price we agreed upon before for $36,288, they said yes.
I paid a Co worker to drive me down there to pick up truck, paid for it, this was on a Friday. drove off with the truck, 20 minutes later it broke down. Had it towed to a actual ford dealership, they fixed it 5 days later ,$970 dollars, along with another issue that needed to be fixed at a whooping $2,500.
they refused to take the truck back, refused to pay the repair bill. Now we are in a court battle.
after I had to pay close to $3,500 more to get this truck in working order. I should’ve just bought from an actual dealership a ford, Chevy or dodge dealer. Yes you pay more but it would’ve been less in the long run at this point. They back up their sales with honest loyalty. Don’t buy from them, they are un trust worthy and will not back up their sales in any manner.
