R & K Financial Services Sent letters w/checks from StanChem, a legit company in Berlin, CT St. Catherines Ontario
I am a Detective in Berlin, CT. A company in our town, StanChem Corporation, had bogus checks sent to 8 individuals. The checks were in the company name. A letter was sent with the checks from R & K Financial Services out of St. Catherines Ontario, Canada. The letter receiver was told that they had won $38,000.00 and had to deposit the check $3800.00 from StanChem, into their bank accounts.
R & K Financial Services does not exist in St. Catherines. This is a scam that our department is investigating.
