Complaint Review: R. L. Stevens Corporation

"Our approach is to identify and provide you with quality job leads, new opportunities, decision-maker names and positioned targeted communications, focused beyond ads and Internet." That's what it says in their literature and website. Nothing could be further from the truth. And the salesman who roped me in promised everything but the moon. I paid $3500 for nothing more than a bunch of photo-copied pages with information I could have gotten out of 100's of books at Barnes and Noble for about 25 bucks.

I got no leads other than a data dump of companies by SIC Code in my area of interest. There "service" consisted of about 8 meetings with a consultant in which I spent most of the time trying to get HIM to understand my career history, a one day seminar consisting of the most tired and cliched job search techniques, and a re-write of my resume. If you are considering paying these people, don't. Save your money and go buy a book. Don't say I didn't warn you.
