R & R Escapes Representative Kim tried to get all of my banking information by promising a free vacation Ripoff Saint George Utah
On April 1st, 2005 I received a phone call from phone number 866-415-5154. The lady said her name was Kim and she had an Asian accent.
She informed me that I was one out of the 1000 selected people in Texas to receive a free vacation including airfare which is valued at over $3000. She then told me that I woudl only have to pay $1.95 to ship the information to me. If I had won a $3000 vacation, then why would that company be worried about $1.95 to ship it to me?
The answer is that the $1.95 would lead to me giving out my bank information. She then asked for my bank name, then routing number, then account number. After she got my bank name from me, I decided to type the phone number in google and a rip-off report came up under that number saying that they tried a different scam with someone else. When she tried for me tracking number I asked her why she needed it and she said that she just wanted to verify that I was who I said I was.
Watch out for these dishonost people, if you get a call from this number do not give them any information, but do everything in your power to waste their time so that they do not do this to others.
