Complaint Review: Race Proven Performance

I sent my C6 Z06 to RPP for a some engine work and it took much longer than was stated. My car kept getting pushed to the side for higher paying customers. I finally had to go down there and confront Jared the owner to get my car done. Two weeks later he said it was done. Went to go puck it up and the car was a mess. Mud all in the inside and the outside was also a mess. There were grass clippings all over my car which most likely means he left it outside. When I finally just said whatever give me my car I started it and loaded it in my trailer. When I got it home I noticed there were 100 extra miles on the car. I understand driving it to make sure everything is working but 100 miles really? I was told byou a few people that he would flog the heck out of it around the back roads... Obviously no way to prove it. The car was supposedly tuned which I paid for but was never given a dyno Sheetc or anything to prove it. I was so sick of dealing with the guy I didn't even bother. I cleaned up the mess that he left and took my car out for a spin. I noticed it smelled like it was running rich but figured it just needed to warm up even though it was about 65 out. I drove the car around for 20 or so minutes until I knew for a a fact it was to operating temperature and wanted to try out the stuff I had done which were heads, cam, intake, and a nice shot of nitrous. I gave it about 75% throttle and it seemed off... I drI've around more and hit it again... felt better so I decided to try the shot of nitrous. Car seemed better after that fist 75% so found a nice long empty road and dud what I had the car sent to him for... about 3 seconds into the run the engine started knocking so I let off pulled over and shut the car off. It was toast. I knew I had just lost thousands of dollars. I had another shop look at it and they said it looked like rushed work and the worst part off all there was no tune for the nitrous or anythinget for that matter... it was the factory tune! The engine was blown pretty much everything was trash and I ended up spending get thousands to fix his mess. I called him and he wouldn't take my calls so I got on Facebook and confronted him... well he didn't like that and started posting all over Facebook about me and had his friends join in trying to be bullies to a grown man. Needless to say blocked him tried to get my money back but didnt. I took the car to real shop and had the engine rebuilt and a few go fast Bits installed. Anyway seems to be a trend... unless you spend a lot and get in the in crowed you are fine but if you are not and he messes something up be prepared.
