Complaint Review: Radio Shack - SC Kiosks

Radio Shack - SC Kiosks Price protection failure Brooksville Florida

Purchased a Google G1 cell phone as part of switch to TMobile service. Within 2 weeks the price dropped $80, unbeknownst to me. When I discovered this (after 21 days) I requested a refund and was denied. I could have returned the phone for any reason and canceled the contract within the 2-week period. They profess no obligation to recent customers for price drops. I can, however, exchange the phone for a different one!

you do realize that the G1 is a $600 phone right? So you did actually get a pretty awesome deal (I'm assuming you paid 179.87 for it since its changed price once and its not 99.87 for new customers) Prices are subject to change from time to time due to current premotions. Radio Shack as well as SC Kiosks does not offer any price protection nor should the sales associate have told you that they do. Did you try exchanging the phone for a different one and then exchanging the new one for a G1? Because they will let you do that. Technically you could get a new phone every 29 days if you wanted to.
