Bought a cable modem and got the warranty on it as it was over $100.  The modem did not work well at all and after checking the diagnostics for the equipment, determined it was faulty and called Radio Shack.  The person on the phone said they were closing but I could bring it back the next day and my warranty would allow me a refund.

Brought it back the next morning and a different person told me that my warranty entitled me to ship it to their facility in some other state, where within 4-6 weeks they would take a look at it and let me know if I "qualify" to receive a Radio Shack store credit.  In the meantime I'd have to pay for another modem out of pocket.  Some warranty.

Stupidly, I did.  That modem also was crap, so I immediately took it back (within 30 minutes) and demanded they void my credit card transaction, which they did but only because I think I physically intimidated the guy behind the counter.  Since all they sell is crap, I went to Best Buy and got the modem that has worked great ever since, for less than I paid for the crap at Radio Shack.

It is now 4 months later, and Radio Shack still will not even let me know whether they are refunding me with store credit or sending my modem back.  So now I am simply out over $100 and they have no interest in trying to figure out what happened to my modem.

Took my $4k Christmas budget elsewhere this year.  Never shopping at Radio Shack again.
