Scam starts with a referral email from someone you know saying they are a "mystery shopper" and that you can be one too! The money is good and the tasks are easy.
You send an email with your name, address, phone, and email address to Thomas Moore. They do not ask for any other personal data. You receive an email back confirming your membership.
Via US Mail, you receive an "instruction" letter and a check to deposit in your bank. My instructions were to buy 3 iPhones for $2,250 and send them to James Reed at 5100 FM 1960 RD W Apt 203 Houston TX 77069
Check bounced before I did the task. Called my "trusted friend" who stated his LinkedIN account was hacked several weeks ago, and others had received this scam offer.
They hope you go ahead with the task before you realize that the check is no good. Maker of Check is "FPL Food LLC 1301 Savannah Road, Augusta GA 30901" drawn on Sun Trust Bank, Account # 62-221311.
