Rado Beware on buying Rado watches Weehawken New Jersey
I have bought a Rado Jubily watch from their authorized dealer for $1800.00. According to the company the watch is leak and scrach proof. I used this watch with great care and rarely after 2 years i found it started corroded over its dial and also there are scratches on the watch. I reported this issue to the Rado customer service and they asked me to send the watch for the inspection and they send me an estimation 700$ for the repair cost. I refuse to pay anything more and ask them return back to me. I donot want spend anything more for this. I am wondering how can a reputed watch manufacture could sell such a low quality item for a rediculous price. If you are planning to buy a Rado please think twice it is rip off..

Been in the jewelry business for 25+ years. Rado's are one of the better watches. However, they ain't no "leak or scratch proof" watches out there. Ain't no such thing. Doesn't matter if you pay $1800 or $18,000. It'll leak or scratch. As a matter of fact, under FTC rules you can't even use the term water-proof or scratch- proof. They're scratch or leak RESISTANT, but that's all. Kind of like taking a mercedes 4 wheeling and wondering why it's breaking down. Rado's are hi-grade dress watches and expensive to get repaired. Buy yourself a timex or a casio to work in. Some of these dealers will tell you anything you want to hear about their watches.
