My personal information was used to apply for credit which I neither asked for or authorized. This resulted in 8 inquries into my credit report and dropped my credit score.

I have asked the dealership to contact the 3 credit reporting bureaus and to this date all I recieved is on letter that they said they mailed to one credit bureau. When I asked about writing the other 2 credit bureau;s I was ignored over and over again.

I copied all my emails directly to the owner Mark Ragsdale but he also ignored me. No It's time for me to take this to the next level.

I'll be the first to agree my credit isn't A1. That's not my issue here. The issue is that they used my personal information with out my authorization. I never asked or wanted it be be used. The fact is they used it it affected my credit score and it hindered me from applying for a mortgage at that time. They admitted it was there fault and now I just want them to make it right, which at this time they refuse to do so. I WILL do whatever I have to until I get satisfaction.

Let me guess...you went to the dealership, filled out a credit application (or perhaps a "pre-qualification" sheet)? The dealer checks your credit to see how good (or bad) it is. That ~should~ have only resulted in one inquiry. The fact that you got 6...or 7....or 8...inquiries against your credit means that the dealer was shopping for a lender to finance you, and each lender was running an inquiry. Happens all the time to folks with sub-prime credit. This does not happen to folks with A1 credit. (sorry, I'm just stating fact).

Don't worry about the "dings" on your report from these inquiries. I believe they drop off after 90 days, so it's not like a permanant drop in your score...

(no, I'm not a car dealer, nor do I work for one)

There is more to this story

The personal information they used was my social security number to make the inquires, back in Novenber they also made inquires I think it was also around 7 or 8 and with the 8 made in Feb. it totals around 15 15 inquires in less than 6 months what do you think that does to your credit score,it dropped mine by a large number, This really upset me because i was looking into getting a mortgage. I was told that there was a computer GLITCH that's why this happened.

After more emails I was told that the guy Dave R.the guy that used the information was fired. The general manager told me that this should have not happened to anyone. They admitted it was their fault. I asked for a few things, first I wanted the inquires to be removed from my credit reports,2nd I wanted a personal response from the owner Mark Ragsdale explaining how this could happen and a appolgy for all the grief they caused me. All I got was 1 letter saying that they sent a letter to 1 credit bureau,I asked for all 3 to be sent letters. I asked over and over again but I was just ignored by the general manager and MARK Ragsdale.

I feel that at this point I need to do whatever is needed to get the satisifaction I am looking for. I will never set foot into that dealership and I would also recommend that anyone that values there credit stay away from this ripoff dealership.
