I checked my account balance today only to find that it was roughly $2000 lower than it should be. I went to the bank to discover that several purchase made over the weekend were on "hold" - meaning they were pending payment. Since the purchases were on hold, I could see the impact to my balance, but I could not see the transactions online. The teller, however, was able to see all of them.

All but one transaction was legitimate. The one illegitimate transaction was for over $2000 and was accepted by Raiden Technologies. I found a phone number for this company and called it, but no one answered and no voice mail picked up. I then discovered that the company is on the West Coast and has posted hours of 12PM to 7PM *Pacific* time. That led me to believe that I should not expect to speak to anyone there until at least 3PM ET. When I called back at 4:30PM ET, I got a busy signal. I called every 10 minutes until about 5:50 and got a busy signal every time.

Through a little digging on the internet, I found the following:

The address and phone number for Raiden Technologies is the same exact address and phone number for at least a four other internet companies (www.NitroPlanes.com, www.GrandHobby.com, www.NitroRCX.com, www.zhobby.com; two others are suspected of being affiliated with them: www.wonderhobby.com, www.EGrandBuy.com)

The Los Angeles County Better Business Bureau ranks the company with a grade of "F", with numerous complaints.

I'm of the opinion, although I can't prove it at the moment, that this company is knowingly involved in fraud of this type. No legitimate business would risk their good name by allowing such transactions. Nor would they have a consistent grade of "F" by the BBB.

Someone stole your credit card information and placed the order on our website. Why did you blame us, the company? We did not place the order for ourselves. Someone has stole your credit card, and tried to scam our company by placing large orders. Those charges were pending, we have disapproved those charges. We flagged them as fraudulent. The funds have been released from your credit card. Please check with your credit card company.
