I have used "American Geeks' before, perhaps about a year ago.  At that time I was have problems with my comouter, so when they called I agreed to let them try and fix my problem.  At that time it appeared that they did in fact fix my problem and they charged me a fee.  I don't remember what the fee was, but I think it was under $200.  Not sure.  In this process they somehow affixed their phone number on the task bar of my desktop computer.  (Windows 10)  Much later, like about one week ago I get a call from them and they are telling me that there was a problem with the fix that they made on my computer and they were going to fix it and refund my money that I made some time ago.  At first it sounded legit, but fishy at the same time.  At any rate I allowed them to take control of my computer and they proceeded to do some magic, I don't know what, and then they asked me to sign into my bank account so they could do a cash payment directly into my account.  I told them that I would not do that as they had access to my computer.  They told me that they did not and gave me an account number and that I would be credited back with $399.  I still refused to sign into my cand and I told them that I was terminating the call and turning off my computer.  The so-called tech responded with this statement: "F--- YOu" and hung up.

Today I received another call from America Geeks.  This time it was a female.  She did the usual polite "How are you" blah, blah, blah, and asked me how I was today.  I told her I was very unhapply with their business and explained why and then I hung up.

I am getting a lot of calls from these so called computer fixer uppers.  Yes, I can just hang up, but isn't there a way to put them out of business?

Anyway you can help would be great.

PS.  The phone number they put on the task bar is : 1-888-295-4668.  I tried to call this number and all I got was a lot of static.
