Complaint Review: Ramada Kamloops

Ramada Kamloops Stole our money - failed to refund us for a booking that we cancelled 2 and a half months in advance Kamloops B.C. Canada

On June 13, 2010, my wife and I reserved a room for a one-night stay from August 25-26 at the Ramada in Kamloops, B.C. for a trip that we were making to Vancouver Island from the Edmonton area. A couple of days after reserving the room, we decided to fly out instead and requested a cancellation of our booking. We were told that we could not cancel and that our payment would still be taken. The amount was $134.97 CAD.

Shortly afterwards, I made a complaint to Ramada's "customer service" department, requesting again that we be refunded our money. In short, for weeks and weeks, we were given the "run-around" to call this person and then that person. 

Our money has never been refunded. We have never stayed at a Ramada since, will never stay at a Ramada again. We have also shared our story with many, many people and have recommended to all of our family, friends, colleagues and aquaintances that they never stay at a Ramada.
