Complaint Review: RAMADA PLAZA RESORT

I am writing this letter to let anyone who has purchased a vacation package from Ramada Plaza Resort or know anyone who has, that is it a definte RIP OFF!

My 67year old father recieved a voucher for $1600 to take the trip of a life time. He wanted to take me and my son also. They at first told him there was no extra charge for us. But when he went to make the reservations, the racket began. He was told that we all could not stay in the same room (my parents, me and my son) that the room was not big enough and he would have to ugrade to a larger room, on the beach, we were under the impression from the sells pitch we would be on the beach anyway. More money of course. Then if we wanted to go on the cruise that we would have to purchase a second cabin. More money of course. Then the room in Orlando wasn't big enough so we would have to purchase a second room there also. Guess what? More money here too. So knowing we really wanted to go he put it all on his cc.The total was $2181!!

They never mentioned anything about this being a non-refundable vacation. I found this site trying to look at the resort, found this site instead(Thank God). He called and has gotten all of his money except $698. He has contacted his cc company and the FL Consumer Affairs. I pray he gets this back too. But I am not gonna hold my breath.

Please call and cancel if yoy have been scammed too. Do not let them out talk you. Ask to speak to Gina Johns, Dan Lambert, Al Shular. Do not take No for the answer. Tell them you have contacted The Florida Dept. of Consumer Affairs and that you found this web site. Good Luck!
