This vacation package offered by Ramada Plaza Resorts was supposed to be our honeymoon. We were told we would be staying in high class hotels on the beach in Ft.Lauderdale, we would be on a beautiful cruise ship, and staying in a luxury hotel in Orlando.
To our dismay, we were not on the beach in Ft.Lauderdale, we were in a shabby motel across the street from the beach but our room faced a nasty boat dock.
We were also in agreement to go to a timeshare location to look a properties and have our chance to buy into one. We didn't think they were going to try and turn us on each other to get us to buy into it. It took 3 1/2 hours instead of 30 minutes.
The cruise ship was filthy and half functional. We had paid extra for a honeymoon suite on the ship only to find that we had seperate beds that were attached to the floor and could not be moved together. The cruise ship looked like one of the life boats that was attached to the Disney cruise ship we saw when we got to the Bahamas. By the way, when we disembarked from the ship we found out the cost of the cruise is only $99.00 per person. We were told it was a $500.00 per person cruise when we signed up.
Then, to top it off, we had to drive almost 6 hours and pay $35 in toll fees to get to Orlando. Again, in Orlando they try to make you go to another timeshare presentation. We refused!
This was the honeymoon from HELL!
