I recieved a Registration Document fromThe Administrative Offices of RPR/OFV Records Division in the mail. I am only 18 and i thought it would be fun my senior year to go with my girlfriends on this supposedly fun, cheap, tropical get away.

Well at first when i called my mother freaked out and asked him all these questions to make sure i wasn't getting scammed. She even said "well i can call the better bureau office and ask them. So the guy i was speaking to told me to tell my mom that if they were a fraud then they would be on Dan Rathers or the news for fraud, because they are the Ramada Resorts a well known hotel. My mom got on the phone and told him that she needed some prof. He got on the three way called 411 and asked for Ramada Plaza Resorts in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. She gave him the number which obviously matched the one he gave my mom. He talked to the front desk while my mom was still on the phone and asked the lady at the front desk questions.

I couldn't hear what he said to her. My mom got off and gave me the phone. Then the guy was like Jessica you sound like and intelligent woman and this isn't a scam. I like a dumb a*s was convinced so he gave me and my mom 5 instead of 3 weekend getaways to make my mom happy. I told him my checking account number (which i got charged $699)698 dollars were for some kind of holding fee for the three years i would have to use this trip, and one dollar was for the Children's fund for needy kids. Can you believe that b*****d. Then he transferred me to this guy he said was with Ramada for 15 years and his name is Christopher Miller. He ran over everything i was getting from them again. After we spoke he said good-bye. Then it sounded like he couldn't hang up the phone.

Well later i called my girlfriend and she said it was to much. I called the customer service number to see if i could get my money back. Which they had told me it was nonrefundable, but Anthony said i would get a receipt. The customer service man said i couldn't get my money back, but he would credit me $200 dollars give me free meals while in the resort and a 2 for 1 price for the plain ride. I said so there is no way i can get my money refunded he said no mam. I was like I guess I'll have to do that. AND to top all of that off I just found this web site.

If I would've let my mom call the bureau services i wouldn't be in this situation today. I am calling them today a 10 a.m. to tell them I found their dirty secret and Barbara Walters is getting a call.

actually went on the hell trip - and came back determined and angry to get back the money I wasted! I sent a lengthy ripoff report (which is posted on this site) to my Attny General Richard Blumenthal and the Commissioner of the Florida Department of Consumer Services Mr Charles H Bronson and, of course, Ramada Plaza Resorts. I did get $1200 which is better than nothing!!! They refunded me the initial trip charges of $598 per person. I am thrilled and wanted to share the information with you and hopefully you can have the same luck I did. Hey - I got this all done within a MONTH!

Call the Florida DACS first they are extremely helpful!!!

Don't give up! I returned from this hell trip on February 16th and had a refund by March 11th!!

In addition, within their own literature, it states that you have a s day window to cancel - so if you called back within that time frame then they have to refund you. They claim all the phone conversations are taped - ask to hear it. What happened to me was they couldn't provide the tapes which just made it all the more sweeter.

Contact the FL Dept of Ag at the number above. They are terrific people and are very eager to help you. They have been trying to shut down this operation for years.

Good luck!
