I purchased a vacation package from this company 2 years ago for $498 per person (for 1st two people). I really wanted it for the bonus Vegas vacation. We wanted to use it before the Florida vacation, so I called the company to see if that could be done.

They told me I could do that if the Florida package was paid for first. I went ahead and put the rest of the amount on my credit card. I was disappointed when I found out the Vegas hotel was not on the strip, so we upgraded to the Treasure Island hotel. Our stay in Vegas was great!!

Anyway, we are finally ready to take the Florida trip this June. While looking for the website for Ramada Plaza Resorts, I ran across this web site. What a shock!! I was scared about our upcoming vacation so I called the company.

I spoke with Jeff who explained that over 3000 people travel with them everyday so their are bound to be complaints. I said I still wanted to take the vacation, but I didn't want to be disappointed - there are 5 people in my family so this will be costly! He actually talked me out of spending more money on an upgrade - weird, huh?

I am still going to take the trip since I have already spent almost $1000 on this vacation. I will let you know how it goes when we return.

Oh yeah, I also asked about hidden fees when I called and he told me about them:

Hotel state sales tax: $12 per night appr.
Car tax: $5 per day appr.
Car upgrade to mid-size: $70 appr. (do it through them not Alamo!)
Car upgrade to full-size: $100 appr. (do it through them not Alamo!)
Parking while on cruise: $10 per day
Gratuity Charge while on cruise: $19.50 per person

If the accomadations are not what I expected, I plan on contacting the AG because they were advertised as "First Class Accomadations".
