From Amanda in Kearney:

My friend purchased one of these Ramada Packages over the phone 2+ years ago, and we went on the vacation last week. Had I known that there was this kind of bad practice from the Ramada company, I never would have gone.

First, we got to the Alamo rental car place, and had to pay an additional $260 for the car for a week. Then, at the hotel, we had to pay room taxes for a week ($12 a day x 7 days) and the room was a joke. There was no blowdryer, clean sheets, working remote control, vent in the bathroom, clean towels, etc. at any time. Plus, the ancient phone wouldn't allow us to call out. Only later did we learn that we were charged for all calls that we made, either local or with a calling card.

The Universal passes were a joke. To get them, we spent 3 hours listening to some guy try and convince us (2 college students) that we could afford a condo in Florida, and then left us out in the parking lot after we said no for about the 100th time.

I have never had such a horrible vacation, and cannot take another one this summer. My friend cannot take one for the next 2 years because this cost so much. Being college students, we simply don't have the budget for that or to pay this vacation off in the near future.

My hope is that these people at Ramada will be forced to reimburse everyone they have ripped off, and this will never happen again. Good luck to all trying to get money back, and thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, we are not alone.
