I also have been scammed by this company, and I don't think it's over. I paid for this trip with credit card of $87 and then they took a check over the phone (check draft) for another $611. I have received the $87 refund without a problem. The $611 is the area where I am having a problem.

I have gone around and around the C.S. dept. like everyone else. I have documented everyone I talked to each time I called and have spoken with numerous "supervisors". I got the name Dan Lambert (Vice President) from one of the supervisors and was told he could be reached at the 800-203-9783 C.S. #. Yeah right, a V.P. with an 800 C.S. #??? She also said we could contact him at the 2419 E. Commercial Blvd. address.

I was told that if someone pays by check, it takes 45-60 days to receive a check back from them in the mail. I still have yet to see the check. I keep getting the runaround and getting told different stories over and over again. I need our money back very badly, as we too are struggling money wise and had cancelled the trip the same day we got shnookered into it because of money shortage reasons.

I couldn't believe all the stories on here when I found this site, and am now getting sinking feeling in my stomach wondering if we'll ever get our money back. Could someone help, if they have any other advice or phone numbers or addresses to contact??? I really need to find a way to get our $611 back before they get what they are out to do (draw interest off all my money and keep it).

SCAMMED for the first time in my life to what I thought was a well-known corporation......I will pass the word on to whoever I come into contact with in regards to Ramada Plaza Resorts!!!!!!!!

RPR not the same as Ramda Hotels

#2Consumer Comment

Tue, May 20, 2003

I just wanted to let everyone here know that RPR and Ramada Hotels are not affiliated in any way. RPR is just a bunch of scam artists dragging the Ramada name through the mud. I don't know why Ramada hasn't put a stop to this, or at least released some sort of statement saying that they are in no way affiliated with this other company. From the looks of some of these postings, many people are confused (as was I until I did some further investigating)and the Ramada chain of hotels will suffer. Shame on RPR for taking advantage of name recognition to scam innocent, hard working people!
