I was trying to tryign to sell the trip on Ebay because my girlfriend and I broke up, so I didn't need it anymore.

I posted it on Ebay and a lady who had taken thetrips told me of the false advertisin they were giving and that it's a ripoff.

Now I'm stuck with the bill for a trip that is bogus. I want to make sure that Ramada Plaza Resorts pays me back in full for their lies!!

Well that is the most uninformative, concise report I've seen on this site! What exactly was the false advertising? What is the rip-off? You provide absolutely no details, my dear!!! How do you expect to get any answers if you don't describe the problem??

#3Consumer Suggestion

Wed, April 16, 2003

Hi, i have recently purchased a vacation package for florida as well. And thanks in partly to Rip off report and my local community i have been made aware of the serious and huge risk of the package not being what it says to be. Look for example the countless reports on this site that have been dating as far back as my high school years.

Why this is still going on and how the US government can allow a company with so many customer dissastisfaction , eludes me. But in the research for my case i have seen a trend that the majority of problems occur when 1. the customer wants to change a travel date 2. want to cancel the package. The level of customer service the recive is deplorable and in my situation I would not speak to any lower level sales respresentatives. Its is about useless to call their customer service phone number because you'll just waste your time getting various people trying to change your mind or just outright decline you. The overall vacation is REAL, or atleast to my understanding and let me let you be made aware I have researched this, However the conditions of the vacation are not a "first-class" as the may have stated. Nor when a company does not make the consumer aware of any return policy, this sends up big red flags. My suggestion to you is to send a CERTIFIED letter to the VP , Mr. Dan Lambert of Ramada Plaza resorts requesting a refund, state your reasons, and be diligent. Here's the contact info to write to:

Daniel Lambert
Vice President
Ramada Plaza Resorts
2419 E. Commerical Blvd #100
Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33308

fax# 954-568-3847

In most of the previous cases I have research this path is the most likely way to recieve your full refund. If you havent paid off the purchase price this sertified letter also makes a case for your credit card company to dipute Ramada if any futher purchases are charged to your account. If all else fails begin further dispute by sending information of your case against Ramada to:

Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services
Charles H Bronson, Commissioner
Division of Consumer Services
407 S Calhoun St
Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0800

concerning myself, i have not recieved any prompt responses concerning my emails and request for a refund. but hey I just sent them yesturday. Good luck and Don't give up. Look around you there are dozens of people just like you and I who want a refund, for maybe a good vacation, not a great one. and honestly, i don't think is worth the hassle in the end. So please note to everyone research and be very wary of the Ramada Plaza Resorts Vacation Packages, whether the offer was by phone, mail, or in person; before you fork over any cash. Best Wishes!
