Was called in UK by RPR from Toronto. Offered the Orlando/Ft Lauderdale package for US $698 each which was stated to include Free Alamo Car rental and Theme Park Tickets, etc, etc.

Asked if RMR were the same as Ramada Inns (Hotels). They said yes.

Having seen various European timeshare scams, I have a rule to never part with any money up-front for 'timeshare sales/vacations' whatever the reason (however plausible it may sound!).

Asked RMR caller to send me an email covering the exact details of the offer and its terms and conditions. She stated that it was company policy not to send emails out and suggested I looked at the website and would call me later that evening.

She also said that written Terms and Conditions were not necessary as I would have access to the security tape recording made of the telephone sales conversation for up to 2 years in the event of a mis-understanding/dispute. (Yeah!)

I found their web site unconvincing (content-free?) and then I found this site following a google search. The RMR operator recalled saying that she would ask her manager whether the contract details could be emailed to me but I doubt whether I'll ever see them.

When I mentioned this site, her response was that 'every major business has customer complaint issues and you only see the grievances published and never the success stories from satisfied customers!'

Needless to say, following the RMR reports on this site, I won't be parting with any money and would like to thank all the respondents for warning of an unsatisfactory vacation and a lot of hassle in getting any money back.

Well done rip-off Report. Beware UK vacationers!.
