If you are a minority or against racism, please never use Ramada Hotel or any of its affiliates again! I will tell you a horrible story of how my family was falsely and deliberately accused of making noise and kicked out the next morning at the Ramada in Toms River, NJ simply because we were getting a discount on 5 rooms, even though the overnight desk lady and a manager know for a fact that a wedding party of whites was openly drinking hard liquor in front of the hotel, and walking through the hallways with open liquor!

It all started on June 6th 2008 when my cousin was unable to open our hotel room with his key. He approached the front counter and requested another key and was told that the room was not registered in his name. He grabbed me and I simply told him and the front desk clerk that the name is my cousin, an employee for the company. She then said Oh, this is bad, this is misuse of the discount! Little did she realize that my cousin reserved 5 ROOMS with this discount! Now, any one with a brain realizes that one person cannot stay in 5 rooms. Plus, we had no problems checking into the rooms with different credit cards, proving that she had no grounds since both national reservations and the front desk when we checked in allowed this.

Well, basically this evil woman decided that she was going to figure out a way to get us out any way she could, even if it meant lying! Now as I stated, we arrived back to the hotel from touring NYC and noticed a group of several whites drinking from 3 different hard liquor bottles and a case of beer right at the hotels entrance. Not only was this taking place since 6PM according the security guard, but this party was extremely loud and using profanity. One individual from this party was seen by myself walking right past the front desk with a bottle of brandy in one hand, and a beer in the other. Well, without surprise the desk received a complaint. Now, any normal person would immediately figure out obviously who must be the reason this complaint was made.

Guess what this woman did instead? Well, my sister who woke up at 5AM since she could not sleep due to this rowdy bunch witnessed this woman specifically targeting all 5 of our rooms, putting her ear against the doors. The rest of us were all dead asleep by this time, since we spent all day touring NYC. Plus, if a wild party is going on, the normal protocol is to have the police break it up, but of course, nothing was going on in our rooms!

The next day we were woken up and told that all 5 rooms needed to leave because of a loud party going on in my room. The next morning we pleaded with the manager on duty, telling him what was occurring. Every time we caught this man in a lie he would change his story, eventually throwing his hands up and telling us Im not gonna argue with you then threatened to call the police! At one point the said, room 207 complained, your room is right next door. My room was 206, which is a across the hall! The man doesnt even know his own hotel! In addition, the window to room 207 (the complainers) faces where the party was happening! He then changed his story and said, Oh yeah we got a complaint about room 209 too, which IS next to 207, but is the room that my 56 year old mother was sleeping in while my sister worked out! He then said, well weve already been nice enough to let you stay at $99, we have other people that are willing to pay $200+ a night. We then even offered to pay full price to stay, which was rejected.

What is truly worst about this experience was the sheer humiliation that we all experienced, being out of town and having to scramble to find a place to stay as well as embarrassingly being looked at as the rowdy black people while the whites who were known to be the true perpetrators by both the night clerk, manager and security guard didn't get punished.
