Ramada resorts ripoff scam consumer fraud Florida
I received an offer on the mail from Ramada Resort along with a check for $1,600.00. to take a vacation, supposedly a Cruse to the Bahamas. Called the number to get information the guy talked for ever it sounded really good, he told me that to qualify I needed to be over 18 year of age and since they would have a rental car I needed to have a credit card, I gave my credit card number under the assumption that
1. I will expired the next day
2. and that they would not take any money from my account. I made it very clear at the end of the call that no money was to be taken out of my account, and I also asked if there would be any cancellation fees, Patricia was her name never answer my question.
I assumed that was a "no" the next day I see $698.00 taken from my bank leaving me only with $7.00 on my account. Called immediately argued that I never gave anybody permission to take any money from my account they offer to take out the tape and I have an appointment this coming Thursday to listen to the tape. According to what I have been reading there is no such tape. I submitted a "debit card affidavit of disputed items(s) or unauthorized use" see what they can do about it.
I will also try to summit a claim to the Better Business Bureau and the District Attorney. I will suggest to cancel you credit card as soon as possible if you took payment otherwise they will continue to withdraw money from you account. I will keep you posted, maybe if we all get together and summit enough claims to sue this people.
