Having problems with water company in Ramona, they never bill the same date each time. I'm in my late sixties and have painful back problems and was on pain meds, I need surgery. I didn't notice the date on the water bill in time. I thought it was on the first. It's a surprise each time. I was two days late so they charged me with a twenty dollar late fee. the reason was they charged it this time in the middle of the month when I receive social security on the third of month. They didn't allow me to make payment arrangements. I have been fixing the plumbing these last two weeks which is taking all of my money. I had paid them $100 dollars leaving the balance of $67 of late fees and balance of forty seven dollars. They said they can't forgive me or do anything for me. They called and said they were going to shut off my water and charge me more charges over $100 dollars fees. The social security doesn't give out an advancements. I'm having a hard time with medical and buying my insulin. I think they are mean and don't care about their customers. So now Im paying more late fees and will not have money for thanksgiving nor groceries. I have already borrowed on pay advance loans this month. They don't take credit cards.

I mean why should the utility company give YOU a break. One would think that YOU as an adult could figure out that you are billed on a 30 day cycle. YOU are an adult and YOUR excuses are just that EXCUSES! They are NOT being "mean". The utility company is ONLY holding YOU to the very same rules and policies that EVERYONE ELSE has to follow. Why would YOU expect to be treated special? Ok we get it, you're on pain meds and YOU screwed up. It's understandable but it's STILL your responsibility to pay YOUR bills in a timely manner. The cost of not paying your bills on time is a late fee. Sucking up to this site to garner YOU sympathy because YOU screwed up really only shows that YOU are not as mature as you assume. Life doesn't give you a free pass when you screw up. To expect a utility company to treat YOU differently because of YOUR personal problems is foolish and let's face it, there are MANY other people who are far worse then YOU. And those people seem to be able to pay THEIR BILLS on time. If you can't handle the stress of PAYING YOUR BILLS then perhaps it's time for YOU to get help or just check into the old folks home. YOU used the water and YOU didn't pay your bill. YOU pay the late fees. Seems pretty cut and dry. The bad part in all of this is that YOU have defamed them on a media outlet. If they wanted to THEY could sue you for that defamation and they would win. YOU are obviously not smart enough or mature enough to cover your tracks online. So with a simple court order they can prove that not only did this come from YOUR computer but that YOU wrote it. I would suggest that you take this nickels worth of free advice, give up while you still have a chance to. By all appearances all you have proven with your post is that YOU are a deadbeat, irresponsible with your bills and finances and and that YOU have no problem blaming others for what is entirely YOUR FAULT! Sorry to be so blunt but YOU are an adult. Ranting to your friends and family is one thing. They will tolerate YOUR excuses. Find ways to conserve water and find more ways to cut your costs so you can stay on budget. There are many ways to make extra money even for someone who has back issues while on pain meds. Obviously your pain is not so bad as to keep you from doing plumbing work, so you have even more options available to you. You should accept that YOU have done this to YOU and move on.
