Complaint Review: Randy Hindman

Randy Hindman goes door to door in the Frisco/Little Elm/The Colony area. I wish I had googled his name before entering into any kind of agreement with him, as numerous people have taken to online forums to complain about his business practices.

Mr. Hindman is a con man who does poor work and is gaining a reputation in the community as a nuisance. He operates by going door to door asking to repair roofs that have shingles missing. He has worked on my neighbors' houses as well as mine and they have all been told by the next people to work on their roofs that he did a poor, lazy job.

He recently talked me into allowing him to build our gate even though we had a different contractor lined up to do it. Three days into what was supposed to be a 3 hour job, he showed up with the wrong materials and was too lazy to return them. He proceeded to argue with my husband about the price and the terms that we had agreed upon, saying that we had agreed to an additional $50. That was a bold-faced lie! The end result was him packing his things and abandoning the job without warning and without completing the work. Plus, he ripped us off for the $225 I had already paid him on good faith.

Randy Hindman is a liar and a crook. He is unprofessional and should not be trusted. Do not fall victim to his scams, and never ever give him money upfront.
