Rapid logistics service, inc They lied can't keep their fuel cards on and they have torn up trailers and cannot run a business Orange park Florida
When we first called this company they promised us good-paying loads with good equipment and easy dispatching. Then when we started working with them their dispatcher did not know how to dispatch loads she kept getting in sidetracked and kept finding us loads that really didn't pay anything. Then after 3 or 4 days of working with this company their fuel cards didn't work anymore because it kept saying declined exceeded credit limit. And when we first started the trailer they wanted us to hook up to looked like it had been in a wreck and they kind of got aggravated because we told them we were not going to take that trailer. The boss of this company cannot control his temper one little thing does not go his way and he just blows up at anybody he has no patience and he will not even talk to you when something is wrong.
For example: I had a doctor's appointment Friday morning and my dispatcher was told that on Tuesday So Thursday she called and said she had a load for us to pick up Thursday and deliver Friday morning and I had to remind her that I had a doctor's appointment Friday morning. So she said that if we could make it there by 5 p.m. Thursday to pick up a rented trailer that we could get loaded before 11 p.m. Thursday and deliver after my doctor's appointment on Friday morning but we had to fix a leak on my fuel tank so we did not get done with it in time to make it to Jacksonville Florida to pick up the rent a trailer. So when I called the dispatcher back and told her that I was not going to make it to Jacksonville could they load me tomorrow on Friday after my doctor's appointment and after I go and get the trailer but that I was not going to make any guarantees because I did not know what time I would get out of the doctor's office. So I told my dispatcher to just call the place and see if it would be a possibility to load on Friday and I would call her in the morning when I got out of the doctor's office and then she would be able to book the load but the dispatcher did not listen to me and took it upon themselves to go ahead and dispatch me on the load. The problem was is I did not get out of the doctors office until 1 o'clock it took me 30 minutes to drive home take me another 15 to 20 minutes to do a pre-trip inspection of the truck and another 10- 15 minutes to get all of my stuff and put it in the truck by this time it was a round 220 or 230 and I still had to try to make it to Jacksonville before 5 o'clock I called the dispatcher and asked is there anyone else that can go and get my trailer from the rental company and take it to our yard because I do not think I'm going to make it there by 5 o'clock because I know when I get into Jacksonville there will be traffic.
So as of Friday morning when I called my dispatcher was off so I had to talk to someone else in the office so when I ask them about trying to get somebody to get the trailer to take to the yard they told me that they didn't have anybody but if it came down to it that one of them would go get the trailer themselves well at the end of all of this we also need fuel but come to find out the fuel cards were declined because the company exceeded their credit limit so I called and they told me they would have to do an ef-s check. So when I called to get the ef-s check I was going to fill up and they wouldn't give me enough to fill up but then they told me you're not going to get here by 5 o'clock I told them what the dispatcher in the office said and they said that they never said that that basically I was lying and then sat there and told me that I was lying to them about where I was when I told them I was on my way and they just assumed that I was already in the next town then they told me that they had a tracker on the trailer that I had and then they saw that the trailer did not ever leave my town well if I didn't get fuel I couldn't go anywhere. So then I called them and they told me they wanted to know where I was I told them I needed fuel they told me they give me $150 just to bring their trailer back to Jacksonville. Then I have one of their company drivers that knows me call me on the phone and tell me that the office called them and told them that I needed to let them know where their trailer was because they were firing me and he was supposed to be picking up my trailer. Let this be noted the owner of this company did not even have the decency to call me his self to tell me that he was going to fire me or let me go and when I called them back they would not even let me speak to him because all they told me is that he was ticked off and he was fed up with it and he wouldn't didn't want to talk.
Then I called my regular dispatcher even though it was her day off to explain this to her next thing I know she told me I will call you back and I am going to call them to see what is going on. Next thing I know she calls me back and tells me that I'm lying but this is what they said and that I'm the only one that was lying out of the whole situation which is not true but that obviously we are not a good fit so they were going to cut their losses note this was only after working with them for five days. I have never work for a company that was so disoriented and has no idea how to run a truck driving business. For one thing if you are going to run a truck driving business you should have patience for this business if you can't even speak to your drivers directly when something is wrong that needs to be brought to their attention then you do not need to be running a truck driving business. Their boss Mack Dubose does not have the patience for this business one little thing it can set him off and then he's done with it doesn't want to talk about it he is ticked off and the other employees don't want to talk to him because they know that he's upset and that they don't want to get in his way. But I am sorry that is not how it goes you should have patience to be able to communicate with the drivers that you have hired.
I would suggest to anybody that reads this that if you hear of a job opening at rapid Logistics services, inc I would stay far away because I will promise you everything and say oh we're really laid-back and that will help you in any way we can and make sure you get good loads and everything but they are lying because when two of their drivers can get together and hire some family member of theirs and then get them to force you out I don't think that's right. So if you hear about this company I would suggest you turn the other way and find a different company to lease on with or to work for.
