RareDVD's.com took months to get my order to me. I then discovered that the product was not an actual professional DVD boxed set, but taped from TV. More than one of the DVD's is defective. Canada Internet
In an online search for the TV series "Wings" I came across "Rare DVD's". I saw the complete series available on DVD and ordered it as an intended gift. On August 15 I received 2 emails confirming my order with the total cost and an estimated delivery date of 10-14 days.
14 days came and went so I tried to call the number made available. Unable to leave a message I sent an email. I finally received an email on September 20th stating in BOLD letters "your order will be shipped within the next 4-5 days it is awaiting departure in the shipping department, a confirmation of the shipment will be sent to you along with your tracking number."
I received an email on 10/12/06 stating that my order was shipped on 9/28 with a tracking number stating that it was shipped via Canada post and to allow 7-14 days for the package to arrive. Again it was longer than 14 days but I finally got my order.
I gave the gift to the intended recipient only to find out later that day that the DVD's while packaged in a seemingly professional fashion, were not a true box set. They were recorded from the television. The Nick @ Nite Logo is very obvious on the screen to boot the DVD's are defective. The DVD's cost me $148.99 incl. shipping.
I sent another email to Rare DVD's stating my disappointment and requesting a full refund of my purchase stating that if I did not receive a full refund that I would report them to the Better Business Bureaus in both the US and Canada. I have been more than patient with this organization and I feel that if they are indeed a true business and not a bogus online deal that they should be stopped and reprimanded accordingly.
