Complaint Review: Ratstang Restoration

Ratstang Restoration RSR, Richard Cordon III Beginner Level Body Shop and poor workmanship, lacks people and customer skills Hooper, Utah

I had my Bronco II painted here and body work done. The contract was for a simple paint job to be completed in 2 months. By the time it was done, 10 months later and finally back together, it cost me more grief and money then I had even thought possible. Even then if I hadn't babysitted him all the time, it probably still would be in his "shop". 2 weeks later the paint was already flaking off and then closer look showed paint runs. Now I just keep it covered in mud since that way no one can see the poor job I "paid" for. In money and grief.

The owner and operator of this "business" had another vehicle, a 66 Mustang in after mine that I looked at when it was suppose to be finished and the runs, poor paint job, dents in new panels, misaligned fenders, didn't even paint the interior like he was suppose to. Couldn't figure out how to align the trunk lid, I felt sorry for this guy after seeing the hack job done on his car. And I thought moine bad.

This "business" has since been charged with a felony VIN Tampering and 2 misd, one for "Unlicensed Business"

Well its been almost 1 year since this operation applied for a business license, and guess what, no license has been issued. It aint gonna happen fool. You still are in violation of Zoning Regulations, Business in Residential area, along with Fire and Building codes violations. But then you just dont get it do you. But this isnt a surprise when Richard Cordon II, the senior business partner, seems to have a habit of improperly using Government Computers on government time to
play on Mustang websites. Easy to tell when hes gotten busted, the website changes it format, Id guess to protect the guilty. Great professional conduct by someone that claims to be a supervisor, one that is truly the best example of a bad example and what not to be or do. That and the internet stalking tracking system Sherry Cordons continues to do.

Then theres the junior member Richard Cordon III using his favorite website to brag about his professional, expert skills and workmanship while he takes a very basic Beginner Course in Automotive Repairs & paint and body work. You must have found it on the back of some matchbook while starting the wood burning stove in their garage/body shop. While at the
sametime trying to be the big expert on his favorite Refinishing website. What a joke. Maybe this course will get him the credentials to work the gas pumps at Wal Mart so he can get an employee discount on all his parts he seems to buy
there.

Its funny the comments you make about yourself and skills, or lack of; RatStang: But to be honest, That would be a first for you RatStang: Trust me it works a lot better   How can anyone do that with your criminal record and obvious poor (at best) work quality. While you RatStang: Pretending to be doing work.

Yes you are the great Pretender!  But like father like son, lying on websites about your skills and shop doesnt seem to
be anything new. Youd think someone that is just turning 50 years old would have grown out of that childish habit. Maybe thats why there never is any pictures or bragging about your illegal, unlicensed operations work. I like the 6 Wal Mart fans for the EPA approved exhaust system for your shop. But then using Wal Mart parts on everything seems to be your MO along with the difficulty you have even doing paint by numbers projects.

Ive narrowed it down to the final four of what your RSR business name you applied for last year, means;
1. Richards Sh!??y Restoration
 2. Rat Stang Rip-off
3. Redneck Style Restoration
4. Really Stupid Redneck
and by the look of your Business this is the short list.

Maybe you should practice what you preach; RatStang: You clearly didn't do this one, That picture w$ore Sam isn't in any of the pictures. I question rather it is even your shop...  Your words Richard! But then since this is a picture of your shop/business you have no room to be criticizing anyone. You probably still dont have any credentials to even check
a cars oil or kick a tire. You are still an Illegal, unlicensed operation out of your mommy and daddys home/garage after nearly a year of applying for a business license.

But dont feel bad, the neighbor across the street here is now getting visits by the County Sheriff, City Business Licensing, and DMV for his illegal auto buying and reselling, body work operation to also start shutting it down too. A crook is a crook no matter where they are. You, Richard Cordon III, I just know much more about.

                                                      Claiming Vet Status

Some businesses will do anything for attention or business. Just as some politicians have done for election means and others do for other illegal personal gain. Well this fraudulent business isnt any different it seems.

Information found recently on other websites so as to try and further this illegal business and probably try and make people feel sorry for it.

(No one gets retired after only 4 years, discharged or probably in this case, not reenlistment eligible due to unfit for military service) HHT=Headquarters Troop, IE duty gopher since not useful to do anything else and since at the HQ most likely again duty driver. A DD214 doesnt make you a VETERAN, (well maybe in some cases thats all thats required), just someone that was in the military, who seems willing to lie about nearly everything. Probably including their military service or possibly false claims of ones military bravado, for need of pity or special recognition. But then thats all this business is anyway, nothing but a bunch of lies, to con people. Only this business seems to want to link military service with an unlicensed business.

No wonder when I was there checking on the progress in person, OR LACK OF, on my car, the senior member of the business was suddenly absent. Probably afraid to get caught in more lies and fraudulent claims. Claiming Vet status and probably doesnt even have a National Defense Medal, or did you maybe give that one to yourself also in your mind?

Looking over past articles this business posted on one website, you obviously do have some serious issues.

In your own words and I quote: the issues I had here and there. Wanted to make sure I wasn't misunderstood. This business has to post everything theyve done, including changing a light bulb. Apparently that constant need for attention which could probably be due to insecurity issues. Or possibly other deficiency issues?

Then there are the attempts to try and con people into believing how much you know and can do. When really this business has no idea what its doing. For example some Engine Head work done and posted on the internet, and I quote:

Well I finished porting and polishing only took me 5 months doing about 10-20 min every other day. They are 63.15 cc combustion chamber. all cylinders are port matched "well as close as I can all are within .9 ccs of each other valves are 1.940 intake and 1.500 exhaust with hardened valve seats "not installed yet"

Its interesting here how your business claims to have the heads ported and polished to be at 63.15 cc then you have them within .9ccs of each other. But I see no measuring equipment in all your pictures when you brag about your high quality workmanship. How can someone be so accurate in their measurements but .9 ccs is as close as you can get to all 8 being the same? In the world of mechanics this isnt even close. How can claims of having hardened valve seats when theyre not installed yet? Caught again in another of the many lies.

Then when you post flow numbers and asked where the heads were air flow tested at, the question is avoided all together, again caught in another lie. Especially when the person asking the question lives right in your local area. Again I quote:

flow at 25 h20 flowed is
0.100 69 0.100 59
0.200 129 0.200 98
0.300 162 0.300 129
0.400 181 0.400 155
0.500 185 0.500 166
0.600 192 0.600 179

Thanks.
Ya it has been slow.

You never did answer the question as to who flowed them. I know for a fact, last time I observed them, they were still setting on the floor rusting away as is the rest of the engine, transmission, and rear end from your project car, that has never been completely torn apart in the first place.

AND YOU STILL DONT HAVE A BUSINESS LICENSE OR SMOG CERTIFICATE EITHER. Yes this business has some issues here and there.

Illegal VIN Tampering isnt Enough for this business

Its been 1 year since I recovered my Mustang from this illegal business. Its been fun too, if I may say so myself. Repairing the damage Ratstang Restoration did, seeing this business banned from websites and one website that they used for advertising completely removed from the internet, exposing the illegal activities that resulted in Felony and Misdemeanor charges. That itself netted the owner a felony record and FBI number for life, still no business license due to code and zoning violations, and the list goes on and on.

       As a result of their continuous harassment and threats IXTLAN aka RATSTANG has been permanently banned from another website, and from the website administrator;

The ban was for 7 days, one of the other admins put them on suspension while we figured out what this was all about. The consensus was to ban them indefinitely as I have done. I sent them a message explaining that if they have an issue talking to the staff is the first course of action not sending harassing PMs (private messages). It appears they where also sharing an account between three individuals, this is also against the rules.

Just more proof that this family business seems to know no limit of rules that they cant break. It seems to run in the family which is just another reason to STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM.

administrator

Tried, for some reason there was no IP listed on the account when I looked it up in the control panel. ixtlan's account appears to have been banned. If you have any trouble with anyone harassing you let me know.Hiding for some reason IXTLAN? No surprise here either. Crooks hide their fingerprints too. Or all that slander you like to do in PMs to other people.

And then trying to tell people how to break EPA laws;

Getting ready for Emissions Testing

As the owners of the newer vehicles with electronic controlled everything the modified car presents some issues come emissions testing time. (Not if you havent altered them)
When we as owners mod these cars by adding CAI (Cold Air Intakes) or the numerous other mods we can do it requires us to change the programming of our PCM (Power Control Modules) or as they are also called by many as the ECM.
But we have also created a problem.
Emissions Testing is going to be a problem.

Bump
Seems a lot need this lately (only if youve illegally altered the emission equipment as you seem to have done).

Just another example of BREAKING THE LAW and Ratstang doesnt care who knows it. I guess they havent been getting enough attention from law enforcement and the court system lately. Any Utah DMV Enforcement or EPA people out there reading this? If it isnt Illegal VIN tampering, now its also Illegal Emission tampering being added to your resume, or is that charges? But not all the members of this website find their illegal advice helpful. Unless you want to pay some big fines?

or you can find the right smog shop at the right price and avoid all that.

And then this might be why youre doing it illegally in UTAH.

In my parts all the smog testers are hooked up to the state directly.
Plug it in and reads the data and transmits directly to the DMV.
Behind the
Zion Curtain...

Ugly thing is this person (ixtlan) claims to work on Military Aircraft at the local Air Force Base in Ogden Utah. I wouldnt want to fly anything he worked on since personal integrity doesnt seem to apply to him. Breaking rules, regulations and doing what he wants, no matter what is specified, seems to be Standard Operating Proceedure.

Maybe instead of teaching people how to break the law as you seem to take great pride in doing, and in your own words Ixtlan aka Ratstang, Lots of hours of research figuring out the issues I had here and there. Made a career out of it too. Why dont you try following the law and teach that. Gee what a concept, following the laws might be a whole new world to you.

Then theres the business owner himself

Sunday, 24 October 2010 03:24 RatStang

I come from a long line of mechanics, and although I enjoy doing it, I couldn't imagine being a knuckle buster day in and day out... Just a s**+++y job.

No its better to be a lying thief and con-artist and that seems to run in the business too.

Stalking you as you try and claim to portray yourself as the victim here? No just gathering more evidence that you keep providing with your big mouth on the internet.  So you want to sue me again for more of your false accusations, well bring it on. I look forward to exposing all this new evidence so they can reinstate your charges, (since theyve never been dropped) and add new ones along with two new names for charges. This time counter suing you using your money to file with to show you how its done right. With real documentation and proof not using perjured statements as you did. I have witnesses lining up already, city, county, state, neighbors and private citizens, all just waiting.

  So bring it on.

Itll stop telling the truth about you when you stop telling lies about me.

But I dont see that happening anytime soon.

Happy Anniversary, and have a nice day, I know I am.

I dont know, but maybe Im missing something here from these website postings. But it seems to me that Josh went and checked on my 66 Mustang PERSONALLY and then vouched for it PERSONALLY, on how far it was completed or not completed, publicly. Also stating what wasnt painted as of August 1, 2009. RATSTANG, aka IXTLAN, aka CERBIA, (current logons used on various websites) stated under oath in a Utah Court on October 20th, 2009, how it was finished on July 5th, 2009. Because even if the deck (trunk) lid and door had been painted, the interior and other parts weren't along with assembling the body parts. All fully paid for per the contract, to do. Even when I picked up the car up on October 27th, 2009 it still wasn't finished as stated by Sherry and Richard Cordon in Court.

As a new member it's interesting to see what was done to your Bronco II and the short time it took to get it done. I owned a 86 Bronco II and always liked it. few times. I'm also the owner of the 66 Mustang that was next to have just the body work done by RatStang. It's 2++++ years already that it's "been worked" on. What does it take you have it completed when it's already been paid for, up front, to be done? Did you have to do "daily check ins" to get your's done? Do most of the work yourself? I spent 3 years in Kuwait and Iraq, trying to keep from getting my butt shot off, waiting to get this car completed, and I was unable to do "daily check ins". Maybe that why I had to get legal counseling to deal with my serious issue at their business. Has anyone else had this problem with this business??????

That being said, I actually saw your mustang in person last night!
My project was quoted to take 1-2 months. I planned on it being 4 months. Ending up being 10 months I believe. I was also quite frustrated at how long it took. I did do a lot of prodding and pushing to get it out even that soon.

So I think it takes some understanding on your part that it will take atleast twice as long as you anticipated. It also takes some prodding to make sure he is moving along. Set small deadlines and work to meet them. And NEVER pay for everything upfront. That gives no motivation to finish in a timley manner. We've learned this through experience.....still waiting to see if the 5 year project truck will ever be finished....

Well maybe you can tell me since they refuse to communicate with me, has it been painted yet? The interior is a silver gray as will the outside along with a black finish similiar to the 69 Mach 1s. So are you telling me since I paid up front" I'm up a creek without a paddle? I always liked watching salmon swim up stream against all odds and making it to their goal. Sheer determination to achieve a goal no matter what the obstacles.

No, I'm not saying that. Ratstang will get it done. Yeah it was all painted except for the passenger door and the deck lid. The hood was painted with a glossy black, the rest was silver gray.

If you can't reach him, you need to stop by and have a talk in person.

I tried that the first of July. Had to take a Sheriff's Deputy with me to do it. Since I'm working in Pa. right now little tough to check in daily. Is there some "reason" they didn't paint the whole car at one time. Door and trunk is ???????

I think he was still sanding those two pieces to clean them up more.

So in conclusion, so you can drawn your own conclusion, the vehicle was vouched for on AUGUST 01, 2009 as not finished. Then intentionally perjuried, in court by Sherry and Richard Cordon. Whos the LIARS now????? Pretty obvious to me who the lairs really are.

The person filing this original report was pretending to be me. I am the actual owner of the Bronco II and this person has really crossed the line. Filing these types of comments under someone elses identity is a cowardly act.

While I cannot vouch for the 66 mustang, the statements made regarding my Bronco II are completely false and fabricated.

Stop hiding behind a madeup screen name, be a man. I'm sure your comments can be traced back to an email account in your name.
