I purchased via Ebay a RAVELLI AVTP TRIPOD on July 15 2012, I paid via paypal and have a receipt

July 2012 the quick release plate part that holds it into place snapped off while I had my canon eos60d attached to it, thankfully the camera didnt smash on the floor but it is clearly a manufacturer issue since the piece snapped clean off.

Ravelli's website is very clear on its warranty issues and I quote:

"Ravelli is committed to providing the best support available. Your Ravelli purchase includes a 10 year warranty for manufacturer defects. We stand behind our products and will gladly help resolve any issue that may arise with your purchase."

July 15th I called and spoke to Crystal. I was informed that since it was not a direct manufacturer purchase, they would NOT be honoring the warranty. When asked where it stated that in their website, I was quickly told that they could "sell me a part" for $70 to replace it. Again Im not interested in buying a part for a faulty product. I asked the call to be escalated and was refused, Crystal told me she was the highest person I could speak to. I asked for a name or an email for somenone I could file a complaint and was denied that as well, the call was terminated by them.

I called again September and spoke to Michelle, the other representative was appaled this wasnt covered, she said and I quote "it was ridiculous" that she would speak to someone and call me the following day. 7pm next day I get a dismissive email from the same rep saying she spoke to a "higher up" (again no name) and theres nothing she can do. 3 lines.

This company has NO REGARD for customer service or loyalty. Stay away from any products from them, I already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be following up to see the laws in that state since it clearly stating on the website they provide 10 year warranty.

Any attempts to contact them come empty, either dsc calls or unanswered emails. I made a video showing the defected tripod as well as my attempts to get it resolved

Again Stay away from any Ravelly products, unless you're looking for cheap pieces of crap that will break within a years time.
