RBB Entertainment confirmed a DJ for my wedding that I spent great amounts of time and money on and then didn't show up. I didn't even get a call and no one would answer the phone for hours, and we called and emailed repeatedly. Finally, half way through the wedding a woman called and said that we didn't book with them, it must have been another company. I was pretty furious about this as I had just contacted the DJ the day before.

Everyone was calling to try and find a DJ, even my caterer and bridal party, but it was too expensive and too late. Luckily, we had a boombox and a groomsmans' fiancee had an Mp3 player, and some friends came and played guitar. That was a lifesaver, but it was not the same by a long shot...none of the music I spent hours deciding on, no one really dancing.

Later on in the evening, apparently the DJ's brother (my DJ was supposed to be the owner of the company) called and said the DJ was in the ER and they would give us a refund. Now I see that is a load of baloney, their number is disconnected and we have yet to get our money back.  A local DJ service also called me to inform that the testimonials on RBB's sight were stolen or fake.

I am going to file a police report and see if I have a fraud case against the company because they need to be put out of business and punished.  What kind of person ruins someone's wedding and steals their money, it's disgusting.

Money Owed? Yes. Ruined Wedding? No.

I feel for you, I really do. You are owed every penny you paid as a deposit on that clown and one heck of an apology from the company, but not much more.

You may not realize it now, but they actually gave you guys quite the gift.

That little piece of chaos on your wedding day has given the two of you a story that you'll be sharing for the rest of your lives. You'll fondly remember the DJ not showing as your own little wedding story and recount the tale of the romantic little MP3 hooked to a boom box more times than others will want to hear. I guarantee that this 'hiccup' will be at the forefront of your memory and the first thing mentioned whenever you tell your wedding day story for the rest of your lives.

So things didn't go off perfectly, I get it, it was upsetting. I understand there was panic and confusion at first, but now that it's over, you're really left with silly and romantic tale of overcoming adversity on your first day together. It's really quite sweet. I bet if you take a moment and you're both honest with yourselves, I think you'd find that once you get your money back, the overall experience won't leave such a bad taste in your mouth.

Wishing you the quick return of your deposit and all the best in your marriage!
