On Dec 11, 2002 I went into a store called American Dream. I purchased a 52" RCA television for Christmas for my husband. The tv blew out 2 weeks later. I got information on the 1 year warranty, found the service center and called. My tv was picked up on 1/17/03. We received it back, working on 1/27/03. On 2/13/03 the television was shot again. I called the service center again and they picked it up, once again. Finally, on 4/11/03 at 4pm, I got the tv back. I was told that RCA's technical line advised them on the problem and it was now fixed. Well at 7pm that same night, the tv was garbage again. Once again, going back out on 4/14/03. I have called RCA about 20 times in-between all this and all I get are promises to call me back and they will take care of it. Well I still do not have a tv and RCA always tells me that a field manager will call me back. Still waiting. At this point, I told them I do not want this tv anymore. I have had it for 4 months and it has been in the shop longer than I have had it. In the beginning, when this first happened, I was told by RCA to return the tv to the store were it was purchased. I advised them, I would have, except the store went out of business. I do not understand the customer service at RCA. I let them know that all I have right now and have had for the past few months, is a very expensive tv stand. I will never buy another RCA product and advise anyone else considering buy anything from RCA, beware. The customer service skills are in the pits!!!!!!!!! They do not care about the consumer nor do they care about the crap they sell. Cheri keyport, New Jersey
