RCA - Thomson NO WARRANTY REPAIR Have warranty but can't find service. No real people to contact. 800 # hangs up! Otsego Michigan
I purchased an RCA HD bigscreen from Wal-Mart. It came with a full warranty, including picture tube. I have a small problem with the picture so I went to RCA's website to find a service center. The automated 800 number gave me three authorized centers in Grand Rapids, about 40 miles away, but OK, I need service.
I called each number that was given to me and they were either disconnected or re-issued to someone else. I tried calling RCA's 800 number again but it kept saying "I'm sorry I have to hang up now" each time I called! I can never get a real person. Even the email feedback just gives me an automated reply that can't be replied to.
My warranty is close to expiring and I can't get service! Thomson, the manufacturer of the RCA tv, sent me a warranty extension service plan but NO PHONE NUMBER! Why would I renew a warranty when I can't even get the first warranty honored?!
My warranty expires 3/26/08.
