Back in February of this year 2008, i purchased a 50in. HDTV/RCA. The television worked great for the first few months and then my t.v. became evil and started turning itself on and off all by itself! The only way to make it stop was to unplug it, but to no avail when you plug it back in it started all over. So, i go on-line to try to find customer service, huh, big mistake. You can't reach them on-line, insted you get a list of repair places and people to fix your problem. After all this I got all my paper work from my purchase and called 1-877-RCA-HDTV, someone answered and registered my t.v. and its problem, she offered me a case#, and a list of people in my general area who could work on it for me.

So, after contacting a contracter to work on my television he stated he could not give me a definite time frame of when it would be done, but he would keep me posted. Two weeks had passed and finally the phone call, "We have diagnosed the problem, and have ordered the parts, it should take about two weeks and then you should have the t.v. back in working order". I know that sometimes quality is worth the wait, so no problem.

Well 2 wks. came and passed and I called the gentleman about my t.v., he stated that the part has never come in and gave me a phone#, thinking that maybe if the owner of the set called we may get the parts a little sooner so, i make the call. Only to be shuffled around to the old call this number and they tell you to call this number, and so on. Well needless to say, this all started in August and I found out that sometime in October i would finally have a working t.v.! So October came and I finally got it back.

It is now December 2008 and guess what??? MY television is going back into shop with the same problem as in August. So i called RCA to make them aware of the situation once again, just to get the same run a round. I am so frustrated with the call center that I ask to speak with a supervisor," Mam, there is no supervisor, you have called CONSUMER RELATIONS, and that is as high as you can get". So I then ask for a coorperate number to call, I want a t.v. that is going to work, or I want a full refund for the purchase of the television as well as the 2yr. extended warrenty i baught.

Needless to say here I am on the computer searching for that number, or at least one that can get me to someone of importance. A friend of mine who is aiding me in my search calls to inform me that the company is not in Marietta, Georgia it's in Indianapolis, IN. So we obtain a phone number linked to a company called TTE Technology, Inc., 1-317-587-5000 and spoke to man named Brad. Although this is not his department he assures me that he will put my information in the hands of the person who can help me and it may be after January 1st. but someone will call me back. So, I will keep you all posted as to whether or not this solves my problem and if not my next steps.
