rca warranty ripoff
Thompson consumer electronics who bought out rca a while back has ripped me off by rejecting my warranty claim. My large rca tv was taken to an authorized rca tv shop and technicians validated claim and after five month of delays and mindboggling excuses they now refuse to respond to my voice mail messages. They last promised the repair shop tech to call back but he hasn't heard from them. Maybe a $1200 purchase is not worth the anguish of pursuing for you, but it is to me. Just try to find out how to get around their firewall and reach a major decisionmaker at Thompson. The RCA website is just an marketing bulletin board for Thompson. The Thompson public relations site doesn't work. My delimma is whether to try and find a hungry lawyer who knows how enforce FTC regulations on legal warranty claims.
