Complaint Review: RCI Music Promotion

I want to warn up and coming Indie Recording Artists about this and similar companies who take a lot of money to promote their CDs to radio for airplay. RCI charged us $5,000 to submit to College Radio and got us next to nothing in airplay! I mean it was a crying shame. RCI claims to only accept CDs that they think are good enough to promote, or (supposedly) they won't take it. So, we expected  A LOT ... The promotion was so poor they were willing to do another at no charge, but it was even worse! Out of 375 stations they sent our CD to, they got us less than 40 stations to play a single song from the CD. The amount of "spins" we got were not more than 1 or 2 in a week, and that faded after 3 weeks. Any artist can promote their music to radio and get similar results. You do not need to spend that kind of money to get results like that. BEWARE is all I'm saying.
