My 2 friends and I were at the ASU main campus about 6 months ago and were approached by-seemingly-a student who claimed to be selling magazines to help fund him continuing his education and getting into the FBI. He told us this long, elaborate story about his family and about the magazine drive and even described a girl he was competing against to sell the most magazines. This man was both very akward and persistant. Feeling like we couldn't say no, me and one friend split a magazine subscription, while my other friend choose to send a subscription to troops in Iraq or Afghanastan-a service he offered. He pressured us very much and even esscorted us to an ATM when we said we didn't have enough money. On the slip he gave us he also wrote TAM&GBY with a smiley face and his signature reads K7. I was worried this would be a scam, but waited out to see if I would recieve my magazines within the time alloted on the slip (30-90 days). After waiting (and a very busy semester-hence the late report) I have not recieved my magazines. Is there anything that my friends and I can do to get our money back?? I feel like such a fool.
