Reader's Digest Consumer Services confusing leading invoice demanding payment someone less fortunate would be led to believe they owe money Red Oak Iowa
I received what appears to be an invoice from this company demanding payment for a magazine subscription.
I had to read it numerous times to try to make sense of it, thinking it may have been something I had wound up with as part of a "free" offer or something.
It concerns me in two ways; first, I worried someone had fraudulently used my name and address ( and who knows what else), and second, if an elderly or mildly confused person had recieved this, they no doubt would be sending money.
I think it's very poor use of advertising and borders on fraud.
