I turned on my computer and it was going nuts! All these pop-ups kept coming up saying that I needed to purchase software to defend my computer from viruses, worms, spam, etc... When I would try to close out of it, more pops ups about this software would come up. There was nothing I could do except to purchase the software.  When I did this I printed off my receipt and noticed that it said a charge of $51.45 would appear as "www.realgoldsoft.com."

At this point, I knew I had been scammed. Why would a software company bill you under the name of "realgoldsoft."  Immediately I checked my account and sure enough it came out.

My computer was now working fine and I realized I purchased an icon for 51.45. I called their so called Customer Service line, which no one answered and then the phone disconnected.  I emailed their billing support and got a response back immediately that said they would take care of it in a day.  I am awaiting that credit back to my account.

In the meantime, I called my own credit card company and filed a dispute as well as cancelled my card and important info that they had asked for.

PLEASE do not purchase this so called defender software! Its a scam! Use well known software defenders! If your computer won't let you on...even if you turn it off and turn it back on it will still be there. Get an expert to check out your computer. This is ridiculous.
