Doug and Bonnie are a husband and wide realtor team in Mesa Az. We asked Doug to help us find a house. He failed to do that. We found a house on our own, and he threw a tantrum until the builder let him have the commission for it. He told builder we we didnt know what was going on.

Also contracted for sale of current home. He and Bonnie forced us to decorate for christmas, which neither of us celebrate. Kept bringing decorations over and putting them up when we werent home. Mislead us to beleive home would sell easier if we ordered several thousand dollars worth of landscaping materials from a friend of theirs.

When an offer was finally received they misrepresented the details of the offer, which caused us to reject it. Found out later that the offer was actually exceptional.

They harrassed people intersted in our home through a phone call back system, that when the individual would call to get information, the realtor was also paged with the persons calling number. Had one gentleman interested in buying but changed his mind after realtor called him at 11pm on a sunday night.

Im not saying they are bad people persay, but they have really crappy business practices

Yes, they are religious and pushy, but...

#2Consumer Suggestion

Doug and Bonnie Laux were Realtors I used to purchase two homes in Arizona. I am just writing this to address the other person's complaint and to give my own two cents.

First, if Ophelia (the other reviewer on Rip-Off Report), was already working with a Realtor- and she found a home "on her own"- Doug was right to call the builder and demand his commission. That's the way real estate law works.

Otherwise, you have people who employ a real estate agent to find a home, then work behind the agent's back. What about all the hard work they already did looking for you? If Ophelia would have just contacted her Realtor and mentioned the new build, then there would have been no problem. It's not the Realtors fault that the consumer doesn't understand real estate law.

Now with that said, I want to write about "forcing religion on people."

I would never choose to work with these Realtors again, for that very reason. Bonnie is the type of person that says "praise Jesus" everytime she hears good news. She is very, very pushy about their religious beliefs. I don't care what man-in-the-clouds you believe in, but I don't believe your stuff.

Just leave your "god" out of my real estate transaction.

Other than the pushy religious crap, they were very good Realtors. If you are a born-again Christian, and you're always saying things like "praise Jesus"-- you will probably love these people.
