I purchased a product made by Corsair which came with a $30 rebate promotion handled by RebatesHQ. After completing all of the forms and cutting out the UPC, I then stapled the UPC code to the folded rebate forms and receipt.

Once it was sent in, after about 5 or so days, I received an email stating that my claim was invalid due to a missing upc code. After speaking with RebateHQ's support department multiple times, I was told that the forms were received but the UPC was not included. Which really means that they had to remove the staple holding the upc to even open the forms.

After multiple contacts, I was requested to send in proof of the UPC via email. Luckily I had photo copied every piece of the process. I then sent these images directly to their department with a copied transcript of the chat log with the agent. Which was then reviewed and declined because the UPC image was not the original card board cut out.

So it is physically impossible for me to now meet the requirements for this rebate, as they can infinitely deny the existence of the UPC code and there is nothing I can do about it. RebateHQ is simply trashing UPC cutouts at will and denying claims.
