I paid for and initiated a number of claims (short-term disability, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and supplemental policies) with The Hartford at Work.  All have yet to be resolved.

I have been denied short-term disability, particularly because my policy was never registered with The Hartford due to an error on my college's part, even though there is documentation of such on their website application.  I received, for a short time) life insurance claims for both basic and supplemental policies.  These were denied at a later date.

I initiated a claim in June, 2011 which was denied for a pre-existing condition, and again on November, 2012, which continues to be a pending claim in light of documentation to be submitted.

To date, I have repeatedly sent information to said parties to no avail.  These parties claim more and more documentation from providers, medical insurances, et. al.  Each time I send materials faxed, mailed, or emailed, they somehow lose these items, report to me and my attorney that we never sent such materials, and lie about documentation sent to us, which we have never received.

I have done all the legwork for, and on behalf of, The Hartford at Work, jumping every hoop to no avail.  My claim continues to be pending until all materials, which change frequently and contain providers who have nothing to do with my claim, have been submitted to their office.  The Hartford at Work's representatives, particularly Rebecca Penn and Ian Hardy have sent me on wild goose chases for information, materials, and such, continuing to do so to this date.

My initiated claim is on-going now for approximately three years.  They still have yet to accept or deny my 2012 claim.
