Complaint Review: Receivable management Group

i am currently trying to build a high credit score and saw a credit account named West Bay acquistions, called this company and was told that they cannot find my information in their system and that my information was transfered to Receivable Management Group. when i called receivable management group i just gave him my name only without him "looking up" my account in the system i was told that i owe columbia house dvd company and i must pay him the amount owed to get it removed from my credit report. I explained to him that i did not get anything from columbia house company and he then got nasty with me and said that "i dont have to pay it" but i can get someone else to pay it or else it will not come of my credit report. He told me that columbia house no longer exists and i have to pay his company the amount owed. just checked online and Columbia House does still exist. i am currently getting intouch with columbia house with this matter. I refuse to pay receivable management i think this compay is a scam or rip of.
