I told them that I needed my stuff to be at my new apartment on April 9th, and asked when is a good time to pick it up to ensure delivery on that date. They said if they pick it up March 30th it would make it to my new home on or before April 9th. I understand that I signed an agreement that it could be within 10-21 days of my preferred delivery date, but I was lied to. I was told it would be there April 9th. Then Aptil 8th I call and ask when it would be delivered and they said it'd be April 11th or 12th...once again, no problem, things happen. I call again on the 11th and they say it will be there April 14th. I call April 13th and ask them where my truck is and they give me the trucker's number and have me call him and ask. I call the trucker and he doesn't pick up. I called Red Lion back and was told I would be called back in 5 minutes and they never called. Eventually I got a call back from the trucker and he said he didn't even LEAVE until the 10th, and he would be there on the 18th.

If I was told from the very beginning that the truck would be late it wouldn't be a problem because I would be able to adjust accordingly. Instead, they lied every single day to me, even saying the truck would be there on the 11th, when it left on the 10th. Now I keep calling back because they owe me money and the trucker said he doesn't have anything to give me. I called the company to ask how I'm getting my money and of course "Randy" isn't around, so the guy I talk to gives me an attitude and hangs up on me. Terrible service.

#2Consumer Suggestion

Tue, April 24, 2012

File a report with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Their website is www.protectyourmove.gov. They will investigate the practices of these scam artists.

Also file a report with the Better Business Bureau.  Many consumers will investigate a company here before doing business with them.

Report them to the Attorneys General of Florida (because they claim their corporate office is there) and New Jersey (where they apparently operate).

Let's make sure they do not get away with this bad business practice!!!!!
