RED LOBSTER Lady bug salad? no thanks Dallas Texas
On Tuesday January 6,2009 I went to Red Lobster for a "cheer up" dinner. the waiter introduced himself and at that time promised great service. I ordered my dinner which came with the choice of garden or caesar salad. (Of course I was the only one in my party to have the caesar salad). the salad looked fresh and I began to eat. I was about half way through when I noticed a small reddish circle with two black spots and much to my dismay legs! I tried to get my waiter's attention( the one who promised good service) he seemed mildly annoyed because at that time business had picked up and he was busy. I flagged down the manager, showed her the plate with the ladybug (by that time the waiter came over). The manager actually asked me if I wanted another salad! I opted for the soup. she offered me another cocktail and thinking that it was a complimentary I'm sorry for the bug in your salad drink I gladly took her offer. I ended up eating very little of my meal, when I received the bill no compensation for my ruined meal and an extra drink that I probably would not have gotten if not offered. from this experience, it seems as though bugs in their food is a normal occurance and is no big deal. well you'll never catch me on fear factor and never in Red Lobster again.

This is no surprise as red lobster, which seems to pretend to cater to good customer service, has definitely declined significantly in that department. Almost every visit to red lobster seems to be getting worse, and the staff seem to be stuck up s****.>

As an employee of Red Lobster I hate this happened to you! Our salads come pre mixed so whenever there is a bug its already there. The way this was handled was TOTALLY wrong. In my restaurant we take these matters ver serously. You should have obtained the General Managers name and called to speak to them personally. Also you should call 1-800-LOBSTER. Our company does everything in its power for every customer to have a positive dining experience, sometimes unfortunately that doesnt happen. I really wish you could come to another location and see that isnt the way things are normally handled. By the way, Im not a Manager for Red Lobster, I am a server.

You should have stood up and YELLED "THERE IS A BUG IN MY SALAD! A REALLY NASTY ONE! THERE IS A BUG! YOU BETTER CHECK YOUR SALAD!"
People would have started walking out and stopped eating and they probably wouldn't have paid for their meal and then I would have made my get away amidst the chaos and confusion.
IF THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL ENOUGH TO KEEP BUGS OUT OF THEIR FOOD, THEN THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL ENOUGH TO RUN A RESTAURANT.
You can guarantee that the health department would have been called ASAP and the INSECT WOULD HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THEM!
