Complaint Review: Red's Tree Service

Red's Tree Service James Frazier James Frazier quoted a price for cutting down one large oak and trimming back another...recommended 2nd tree be cut down due to rotting condition. Agreed for a higher fee. Cut the trees the next day and said he would be back with the owner of Bones BBQ to get the wood and clean up. have called numerous times with promises to return the next day to clean up..it is now 3 weeks later and he is no longer answering our calls or making empty promises of service...The check had cleared the week we gave it to him. Very slick and promises good business ethics, but fails to follow through. As for us, he didn't hesitate to steal our money. Flintstone Georgia

I called James Fraizer on Tuesday September 17 for a quote for removing two oak trees from my back yard. He came to my house within 30 minutes and quoted a price of $900 to cut down the trees. He asked for cash. I agreed and he came back the same afternoon to cut them down. My wife gave him the cash up front and asked them to completely remove the trees and all debris. He said that would cost another $300 to cut the second tree to the ground and remove all the debris. My  wife agreed and immediately wrote him a check for the $300. He cut down the trees and sawed the logs into manageable lengths and piled the debris nicely in a separate pile. He promised to return the next day to remove all the wood and debris. When he didn't come, I called him and he said the man coming to get the wood had trouble with his truck and he would come the very next day. I called two days later and he did not answer the phone. I tried to cancel the $300 check we wrote but he had cashed it immediately and it had already cleared.  I called a day later, he answered and said that they were still having problems with the truck. He promised to come the very next day. I called three days later and he would not answer the phone. I left a message for two days in a row. He returned my call and promised to arrive and remove the debris the next day. Three more calls, and three messages later it is now October 8 (three weeks later). James no longer answers his phone or returns phone calls. Yesterday, I sent a message to James and told him that I expected all the wood and debris to be removed by the end of the day or I expected him to refund my $300. Again, he did not respond so I am beginning to move all the debris myself.
